E allora la mia statura non dispensò dal buonumore a chi alla sbarra in piedi diceva "Vostro Onore" e di affidarli al boia fu un piacere del tutto mio, prima di genuflettermi nell'ora dell'addio, non conoscendo affatto la statura di Dio.
